Founded in 2015, the MYPC seeks to cooperate with and assist the Misericordia community in achieving the mission of the organization.  Members focus on increasing awareness through various fundraising efforts, as well as attending Misericordia events or any other causes related to Misericordia’s mission in order to grow the supporter base.  MYPC members also focus on establishing new contacts and events with which the young professionals and emerging leaders are involved.

The MYPC meets quarterly to discuss volunteer opportunities, fundraising events, and invite various speakers to promote professional development.  MYPC members have been involved in on-campus volunteer opportunities with Misericordia residents, as well as contributed a significant presence as Candy Days volunteers in the Loop.

MYPC membership offers several unique benefits, including affiliation with an established Chicago nonprofit, the opportunity to give of one’s resources, the expansion of one’s social circle, and greater knowledge and understanding of developmental disabilities.
