We are so blessed to have the support of many corporations who believe in the mission of Misericordia. This support comes in so many different ways, providing our residents a chance to live their lives in an environment that is community based, stimulating and rewarding. There are so many wonderful examples of how corporations continue to help Misericordia and in turn receive benefits from their participation. We have hundreds of corporate partners who are so supportive of Misericordia. We thank each and every one of them for their efforts and commitment to our mission. If you have an interest in becoming one of our partners, we have needs in many areas and would certainly be able to assist you in finding the best area of fit for you.
At many of our events we offer a variety of corporate sponsorship opportunities. These can in the form of financial donations, and/or in kind goods and services. Corporations benefit from exposure to the event attendees, and our quarterly newsletter distributed to over 100,000 supporters. Employees and customers also see the valuable role their company plays in their community.
There are many ways for corporations to volunteer and support Misericordia. The most common is with our Candy Day event held the last Fri/Sat of the month of April. Over 8,000 volunteers come together for 2 days and collect donations on the streets, at businesses, store fronts and on-line throughout the Chicagoland area. Individual donors are acknowledged with packets of Jelly Belly candy donated by our corporate partner Jelly Belly. Over 1 Million packets are passed out during the event. Many corporations and government Agencies encourage and support employees who volunteer throughout the greater metropolitan area.
Currently Misericordia has over 100 residents employed by Chicago based companies in either a part time or full time capacity. Some of the jobs are completed on our campus (in sourced) , while most are done at the corporation locations. Our residents are trained for specific opportunities prior to their employment and have a very favorable track record for success.
Many of our corporate partners provide Misericordia with extra tickets they may have to local events. This gives our residents an opportunity enjoy some of the wonderful venues of Chicago. If you have any of your corporate tickets you are willing to donate, or our willing to sponsor the purchase of tickets to a Chicago event. Please contact us, we would very much appreciate it.
Many companies will provide the opportunity for their employees to make charitable contributions through a payroll deduction program. We are so thankful to all the companies that believe in the mission of Misericordia and their willingness to include Misericordia on their list of charitable organizations. Misericordia has received such support from many organizations including those listed below. We are so thankful for these and others who believe in our mission and help our residents lead happy and productive lives in a loving environment.

Foundations Some of our corporate partners not only support us directly, but also indirectly thru foundations that they have established. We have many corporate foundations that have supported a variety of needs including therapy, buildings, programs, etc. In addition to corporate foundations, we are supported by many other foundations in a variety of ways. Some of which have been providing support for decades.
Misericordia is proud to partner with more than 250 foundations that share our mission. Every year, Misericordia receives support from private and family foundations, corporate foundations, healthcare foundations, and foundations that are part of professional sports teams and local townships. They help us offer our residents a variety of home-like settings and the highest-quality programs so they can live lives that are as independent as possible.
The Misericordia Foundation serves as the fundraising arm of Misericordia Home. Its mission is to support the mission of Misericordia Home, with all donations supporting Misericordia Home exclusively. The Misericordia Foundation is a 501(c)(3) organization.
