Greco Gardens Horticultural Program
The Greco Gardens Horticulture Program first opened in the early 90’s, bringing with it new opportunity for residents of Misericordia to learn through engagement with plant care. The Greco Gardens is a fully operational, year round greenhouse. Participants take care of a variety of indoor and outdoor plant species, learn about their individual care needs, prepare soil, plant pots, water plants, participate in a variety of prevocational greenhouse skills and projects. Besides plant care, participants enjoy the sensory aspect the greenhouse provides, including a koi pond with turtles!
