Employment Services Programs

Employment Services Program: Misericordia’s Employment Services Program assists those participants for whom employment is an appropriate and desired outcome with obtaining and maintaining employment opportunities, both on campus and in the general community. People that want to work in the community should have the opportunity to do so.  Others have the capacity to do compensable work, but benefit from the close supports and accommodations of our campus employment opportunities.  Still others have compensable work opportunities on campus to supplement their community work, and yet others use the campus employment to develop their work habits, attitudes, and behaviors with the possibility of seeking integrated work in the future.  The employment needs of persons with disabilities are not unlike any other supports, they should be individually determined based on the person’s choice, interests, and needs.
