Our residents work on harvesting lettuce, which will be utilized at the Misericordia Greenhouse Inn Restaurant and residential salads.

Also, the Hearts & Flour bakery has asked our Gardens/Developmental Training program to grow thyme, mint, flat leaf parsley & sweet basil. The residents initially planted the lettuce and herbs into the hydroponic seedling tables.

After two weeks, the lettuce and herbs were transplanted into the hydroponic zip towers until ready for harvest. The lettuce takes 4 weeks to mature from start to finish and the herbs a little longer. The residents keep a harvest tally of all the produce that they provide Misericordia.

They love the way the dill smells!!

We are so proud of our Amina Grace Gardens.  Thank you to the Amina Grace Memorial Fund for their incredible support of our expanding gardening program here at Misericordia....we are blessed with their friendship.
