Residential Services

In 2005 Misericordia’s south side campus closed and all of its residents transferred to the Mother Catherine McAuley Residence on the north campus, where individuals who are non-ambulatory and have severe and profound disabilities benefit from skilled nursing care and special programs. All of them are challenged to reach their full potential. Misericordia Home provides services to children and adults with disabilities ranging from mild-moderate to severe and profound. One hundred adults with severe and profound developmental disabilities live in the MarianCenter.

Nine individual residences make up the Heart of Mercy Village. Each residence is home to twelve adults with developmental disabilities. Mercy Glen is comprised of four individual residences each of which is home to 12 adults with moderate developmental disabilities. The adults are involved daily in the Heart of Mercy Work Opportunity Program or job sites in the community. The Shannon Apartment Complex provides opportunities for independent living with the support of Misericordia staff and programs readily available.

The Hulseman/Murphy Home, McAllister Home, Farrow Home, Walsh Home, Houlihan Home,
MaxwellHome and Eisenberg Home in the neighboring community are seven residences for high functioning adults. The McGowan Residence is home for sixteen adults who are non-ambulatory. Residential services are provided in the Holbrook Residence where 25 adults who are non-ambulatory and 26 adults who are approaching their senior years enjoy lives of challenge and dignity. Eighteen non-ambulatory children live in the RosemaryHome and sixteen adults who are non-ambulatory live in the adjacent Connelly Home.
