The Misericordia Heartsquad runs Ragnar!

Ragnar is the overnight running relay race (June 7 & 8) that makes testing your limits a team sport. This year the Misericordia Heartsquad comprised of 12 team members and numerous volunteer drivers and cheerleaders that will support us along the way (from Madison, WI to Chicago) have joined forces to raise funds and awareness for Misericordia with the adventure of a lifetime.
Picture this: Running 200(ish) miles, day and night, relay-style, through some of the most scenic terrain North America could muster. Add in two vans, inside jokes and a mild case of sleep deprivation. The result? Some call it a slumber party without sleep, pillows or deodorant. We call it a Ragnar Relay. (http://ragnarrelay.com/)
Our inspiration when things get tough will be the 600 children and adults with developmental disabilities that we have the privilege of working with each day. We'd like to use our training over the next few months to get the residents involved and excited about fitness. They are at the heart of our team and will help us to stay focused on the finish line. As a team we have promised ourselves that we will run the distance and raise over $15,000 to help support the incredible work being done here at Misericordia every day!
