Sister Rosemary voted Catholic Woman of the Year
Sister Rosemary Connelly was named Catholic Woman of the Year by the Catholic Daughters of the Americas (CDA). Rosemary traveled to Omaha, Nebraska in July to accept the award, engraved with the CDA logo, that read: "Catholic Woman of the Year 2012, Sister Rosemary Connelly, RSM, for bringing the light of Christ to others."
Rosemary also happily accepted a check in the amount of $5,000 on behalf of Misericordia. After a moving and informative video about Misericordia, Rosemary approached the dais to a standing ovation. She spoke of her work with Misericordia and thanked the Catholic Daughters for the honor.
