The practice of asking for donations to a favorite charity in lieu of flowers to commemorate the death of a loved one is a thoughtful one. When the family of a deceased friend honors the memory of their loved one by requesting donations to Misericordia they are helping to ensure good lives for our children and adults. We add the name of their loved one to the Memorial Book, which is brought to the Altar during our liturgies. As a permanent remembrance we also have the name of the deceased person engraved on a plaque which is added to the Memorial Wall in the Lobby of our Administration Building at 6300 North Ridge.
